The Pathology Laboratory at SKMCH&RC, Lahore consists of the Anatomical and Clinical Pathology sections including the Blood Bank. Both, the Laboratory and the Blood Bank, are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with Consultant Pathologists available on call round the clock. The Pathology Department based in SKMCH&RC, Lahore also oversees the SKMCH&RC Laboratory in Peshawar that currently offers a limited test menu in sub-specialties including Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cytology, Molecular Biology and Hematology & Blood Banking. The Pathology Department also manages four stat laboratories in Rahim Yar Khan, Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan, where routine tests are performed in sub-specialties including Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Hematology.. With a comprehensive test menu, more than 5 million tests and procedures are performed every year at our Laboratories.

SKMCH&RC has the largest concentrations of equipment focused on cancer and non-cancer imaging in Pakistan. The installation of Pakistan’s first PET/CT scanner, a hybrid technology that gives more accurate picture of what is happening inside the body, has revolutionised our diagnosis, treatment and management of cancer.

The Radiology Department at SKMCH&RC, Peshawar provides advanced radiological diagnostic services for various oncological and non-oncological conditions. It is equipped with state-of-theart scanners having the capability and capacity to perform various imaging investigations while ensuring quality and safety checks at all stages.
